Radio Plymouth wins contract to promote The Broadway
15th August 2018
The Management Company that owns The Broadway shopping centre have recently awarded the marketing and promotional contract for The Broadway to local media and radio station, Radio Plymouth.
Richard Allen, Senior Asset Manager for Praxis Retails Estate Management said:
“We are delighted to be working with the Radio Plymouth team who will deliver the marketing, events and promotion for The Broadway over the next twelve months.
We firmly believe that by working with a locally based business to promote The Broadway it will support our own messages of encouraging customers to continue to shop local, to entice new businesses including pop-ups and start-ups to find out more about the flexible terms and lease arrangements available, and that over the coming months and years, The Broadway will stabilise and even reverse the national trend which has seen many current high street and retail shop closures across the country.”
Tricia Duff, Managing Director for Radio Plymouth said:
“It is a privilege to be working with The Broadway team to manage their marketing, promotion and events. This is a new area of the business for Radio Plymouth and we are proud to be able to deliver social media support, website management and PR in addition to our existing multi-media marketing on-air, digital and in-person events attendance.”
The Broadway Centre Manager, Mark Berry adds:
“We acknowledge that The Broadway has sadly seen a number of local and high street retailer and bank closures over the last couple of years, reflecting the changing retail market nationally, however we are keen to reassure both customers and business owners that we will continue to invest in this Centre, and our team are very keen to work with existing retailers and encourage new shops and businesses to open up in The Broadway. We consider The Broadway a key local community asset and remain committed to turning round the fortunes of this neighbourhood shopping centre.
Our weekly market on a Wednesday is continuing to gain momentum with a wide range of local traders, new shop enquiries are steady and the Centre seems to be re-establishing some of the vibrancy that we know many customers and retailers fondly remember.”
